Diana Carvajal, MD
Dr. Carvajal is a practicing family physician and clinical researcher in the Department of Family and Community Medicine within the University of Maryland School of Medicine (UMSOM). She is an Assistant Professor and is also the Director of the Reproductive Health Education in Family Medicine (RHEDI) program of the UMSOM Family Medicine Residency Program. Her current research focuses on understanding how and why young Latinas make decisions to use contraception and how their providers can best support decision making. Her work operates within a framework of reproductive autonomy for historically under represented and disadvantaged populations and acknowledges and prioritizes a lens of reproductive justice for these populations.
