Meet the Guests
Carrie Pierce, MD
Dr. Pierce completed medical school and family medicine residency in Chicago, IL, then moved to New York City for a a one- year fellowship in reproductive health and advocacy with the Reproductive Health Access Project. She took the next logical step after 2 major cities and moved to a small town in rural Oregon, where she is on faculty at a family medicine residency. Carrie loves practicing the full scope of family medicine, from newborns to geriatric patients. Her passion is reproductive health, helping women and families plan when and whether to have children, and subsequently helping them have the healthiest pregnancies and babies possible. She is privileged to be able to share her zeal for patient centered reproductive healthcare with the residents she teaches. She is particularly interested in access to reproductive healthcare among rural populations, and in the way language and word choice affect the patient experience.
